Community Garden Challenge, (Sponsored by Ben Reid Garden Centre)
This challenge is open to any community group (clubs, schools or youth organizations) to create a small display garden in the allotted outdoor space. The display can be used to promote the community group by providing a decorative horticultural exhibit with a title.
Rules. 1 An exhibitors card MUST be placed with name downwards on exhibit
2 The exhibit must not exceed 1.1 metre width x 1.1 metre depth (outside measurement) and the height must not exceed 2 metres measured from the ground.
3 The exhibit should be designed to be viewed from a distinguished front.
4 The use of a backdrop is permitted within the stated dimensions.
5 The exhibit must comprise of predominately living plant material with hard/soft landscaping components such as rock, stones, ornaments or other props being kept to a minimum. Artificial plant material is not permitted.

PLANT WISE (Open to any Group of young people aged 16 or under) An informative display, 600 x 600mm, featuring a plant (which need not have been grown by the group). The display may include some of the following: the plant, or part of it; photographs, drawings, paintings or models; information about where and how it grows, history, uses if any; and any other interesting facts.
